Equine Massage for Horse Owners Mini Course

You don’t have to be a qualified professional to give your own horse an all over body treatment with many benefits, helping them to feel good about themselves.

Why not host an Equine Massage for Horse Owners Mini Course with Jess so that you and your friends can learn how to massage your own horses?

How does it work?

The course will run at your own venue and works best with a maximum of 8 participants.

As the host you will need to organise your participants and also provide a minimum of 3 horses for us to learn from and work on during the day.

The mini course runs from approximately 10am - 4pm including a break for lunch.

Every participant will receive a course booklet and pen.

What does the day include?

The day will start with an introduction followed by some theory, including some palpation of a horse.

You will learn:

  • The Benefits of Equine Massage Therapy for horse owners

  • The Superficial muscles of the horse

  • Bony landmarks of the horse

  • Safety in Equine Massage

  • Monitoring your horse’s reactions during massage

After a break for lunch in the afternoon session we will be working with all the horses and the topics will include:

  • Palpating & scanning the horses for areas of tension

  • Learning techniques, where & how to apply them

  • A chance to look at specific techniques to help issues individual participants may be dealing with with their own horses

  • Practice time with the opportunity to ask questions and get additional guidance

  • Q&A session

What is the cost?

The cost of the day is £480 including travel within 20 miles of WR8 9DF after which an £0.80 mileage charge will apply.
The cost is payable by the host upon booking.
The host is welcome to charge their participants as they wish, there will be no refunds should any participants cancel, this is the responsibility of the host.

Please note this course is designed to provide horse owners enough knowledge to give their own horses some basic but effective massage therapy - this course does not give participants a certification to work on other people’s horses.
