Disclosure
Jess is a fully qualified, registered and insured equine massage therapist, with an in-depth knowledge of the horses muscular structure and how areas of tension can affect the horses well being.

Her training allows her to detect and treat muscles and muscular related problems. She is not a veterinary surgeon and will recommend that a horse is seen by a vet if she deems that this is appropriate and/or if the conditions found are outside of her professional field.

To work within her duty of care to both you and your horse, if your horse is currently under veterinary care Jess requires veterinary permission prior to treating your horse (Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966), this can be gained by a phone call either from Jess or from the horses owner.

If your horse is currently in good health, veterinary consent is not required however to work within her duty of care Jess will ask you to confirm the practice your horse is registered with and they will need to be informed if any pathologies are identified during assessment and treatment.

If Jess attends an appointment and is unable to treat the horse as they need to be referred to a vet the full treatment cost is still due.

Conditions

Please ensure your horse is clean and dry prior to treatment. If Jess attends an appointment and is unable to treat the horse due to the horse being wet and/or muddy the full treatment cost is still due.

Please be honest about your horse’s nature and/or willingness to be handled. Jess will always do her best to treat your horse however if she feels the situation is too dangerous she may stop treatment at any time and the full treatment cost is still due.
